BÜCHERORTE

Libraries and book spaces are the meeting points of urban society, where young and old, rich and poor, and people from all nations come together. While the digital age has diminished libraries' monopoly on access to knowledge, they have gained an important role in urban development as so-called "third places" in cities and towns, serving as consumption-free zones for dialogue, work, and entertainment.

In her book BÜCHERORTE, author Rita Kamm-Schuberth explores these spaces, recently published as part of the BCN Materials series.

The book was designed by book designer and artist Achim Weinberg.

This art book of photographs is available now at the Nuremberg City Library, Gewerbemuseumsplatz 4, for 29,90€.
